A fantastic opportunity to join Bristol’s renowned Afidance drummers Rubba & Kirby for a drumming workshop on the water!

Afrika Eye is delighted to be partnering with the fabulous Bristol Community Ferries for this really special event as part of Afrika Eye Film and Arts Festival 2017.

Come aboard ‘Matilda’ and pick up a drum for a session of African rhythms to stir the spirit of the docks and free your inner musical spirit!

Meet at Arnolfini Landing Stage

Children’s Session 16:30 – 17:20

Come and have fun with a drum. Afidance are experienced tutors and have worked with hundreds of adults and children to inspire and captivate them with the sound of the African drum. Recommended age over 7 yrs and no experience necessary. Tutors are DBS checked. All drums provided.

 

Adults’s Session 18:30 – 19:30. Arrive at 18:15

Cruise the docks for a wonderful hour of drumming and percussion – beginners welcome and more experienced players invited to pick up some new rhythms. A perfect way to de-stress after a hard day at the office! All drums provided.
